The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Armenia Eiji Taguchi visited Erebuni museum
Today, on August 16, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Armenia Eiji Taguchi, accompanied by the head of the Armenian - Japanese Teachers Association Karine Karamyan visited Erebuni archaeological site.
During the visit, the Ambassador got acquainted with the history of Urartu, with its architecture and with the results of the archaeological excavations carried out by the Armenian-French expedition. With special interest he studied the Urartian style of the roof constructions, and mentioned, that now they apply the same way of construction in Japan. After visiting the archaeological site, the guest, accompanied by the director of the museum G.Gyurjyan, visited also the museum, got acquainted with the museum's permanent exhibition and made entry in the book of the Honorable guests.
